



Mikayla Grosse is an award-winning emerging Eurasian-Australian Creative, Freelance Photographer & Film Technician, drawn to capturing and crafting diverse, universal stories in innovative ways.
Perth born and raised, from a young age Mikayla picked up a camera and instantly found a passion for filming and editing videos; eventually making the move to Sydney in 2020, after being accepted into the esteemed Australian Film Television & Radio School for the Bachelor of Arts, Screen: Production.​
Making her directorial debut with both Fiction and Non-Fiction short films 'Mixed' (2021), and 'Paper Daisies' (2023) which premiered at Taiwan Film Festival in Australia in 2024, she continues to write and shoot.
Currently exploring roles within the Film & TV space, Mikayla has found herself a proud member of Camera Department in Western Australia, and also occasionally works in New South Wales.
Her most notable roles include Camera Assistant on Paramount+ original series 'Paper Dolls' which can now be found on Netflix, and Video Split & Q-Take Operator on various projects including SEE Pictures' Feature Film 'Runt' which became one of the highest rated Oceania films of 2024.
Mikayla’s works also extend to video art in which her artwork ‘Quotidian Routine’ was deemed ‘Overall Winner’ at 2019’s annual ‘St Georges Art’ exhibition in Perth, and was also later exhibited as part of the Art Gallery of Western Australia’s ‘Pulse Perspectives’ exhibition in 2020.
